Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have paid tribute to Robbie Coltrane, who has died aged 72.
The actor’s passing was confirmed by his agent Belinda Wright yesterday (October 14). A reason behind demise isn’t but identified.
Coltrane portrayed half-giant Rubeus Hagrid in all eight movies within the Harry Potter sequence (2001–2011).
In a press release issued to Selection, Radcliffe (who performed Harry Potter) wrote: “Robbie was one of many funniest folks I’ve met and used to maintain us laughing continually as youngsters on the set.
“I’ve particularly fond recollections of him protecting our spirits up on Prisoner Of Azkaban  once we had been all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling tales and cracking jokes to maintain morale up.”
Radcliffe added: “I really feel extremely fortunate that I acquired to fulfill and work with him and really unhappy that he’s handed. He was an unimaginable actor and a stunning man.”
Watson, who performed Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, paid tribute to Coltrane on her Instagram Tales feed. “Robbie was like essentially the most enjoyable uncle I’ve ever had, however most of all, he was deeply caring and compassionate in direction of me as a baby and an grownup,” she stated.

Harry Potter writer J.Okay. Rowling, in the meantime, shared a picture of herself with Coltrane together with a heartfelt message. “I’ll by no means know anybody remotely like Robbie once more,” it started.
